The Wenatchee School District board consists of directors who are elected through a district-based voting system. There are four director districts, along with one at-large position. This system requires that four members reside in specific voting districts and can only be elected by voters from those same districts. The at-large member can live anywhere within the boundaries of the four director districts.
Directors must be United States citizens, registered to vote, and live within the Wenatchee School District Director District boundaries.
Prospective candidates must file with the Secretary of State in May to run for open positions on the school board for the November general election. Applications may be submitted online, in person, or by mail at the Chelan County Auditor's Office, located in the Chelan County Courthouse, 350 Orondo Ave, Level 3, Wenatchee, WA.
Candidate resources, forms, and timelines are available on the Chelan County Elections Office.
