Public Records Requests

The Wenatchee School District adheres to the Washington State Public Records Act (RCW 42.56). This section provides the necessary information and procedures for submitting a formal request for public records. Use the resources below to access the required forms, review the district's response policies, and navigate the process for obtaining district documents.

Understanding the Cost of Records
All fees and cost details for fulfilling public records requests are outlined in the 4040P Procedure - Public Access to District Records (available in English and Spanish).

Key Costs:

  • Paper Copies: Photocopies or printed copies of electronic records are $0.15 per page. Actual costs for mailing, including envelopes and shipping containers, will also be charged. (See page 7 of the Procedure for details).
  • Electronic Records: For detailed information on costs associated with providing electronic records, please refer to page 8 of the Procedure.

Deposits and Payments

The District requires a deposit of up to 10% of the estimated total cost, including copying and any customized service charges. The remainder of the total cost must be paid in full before the final records are provided to the requester.

How to submit a request

To submit a public records request, click on the button below. We use the Just FOIA portal for all public records requests. This service allows you to easily submit, track the progress of your request, and search or download records from previous requests.

The District Office observes holidays and is closed on the following days:

  • Labor Day
  • Veteran's Day
  • Thanksgiving Day and the day after
  • Christmas Eve and Christmas Day
  • New Year's Eve and New Year's Day
  • Martin Luther King Day
  • President's Day
  • Friday of the week of Spring Break
  • Memorial Day
  • Juneteenth
  • Independence Day and the day after

Request a Student Transcript 

If you are a student, former student, or parent requesting an official student transcript, please fill out the transcript request form and return it to the district office at 235 Sunset Ave. or email the Student Records Secretary, Josette Tran.
